• As assessment will be given within the next few days. It will be on the skills we've been focusing on: writing a claim, choosing strong evidence, and writing strong analysis that shows the connection between the evidence and your claim

• Repetition: replace words and names used frequently with synonyms or pronouns

Complete the following revision of draft:

• transition words (start of body paragraphs and conclusion; context)
• analysis: make it more complete and make sure it connects the quote back to survival
• word choice: describe extreme conditions with words that are appropriately intense

Read independent reading books. We will finish writing our drafts in class tomorrow so you miss class due to concert rehearsals, that needs to be done by Thursday.
